THE WOMENS CHEF INITIATIVE PRESENTED BY CHEF KELLY ENGLISH
We believe there is a pressing need for more women to be in higher ranking positions in the restaurant industry. To address this problem, Chef Kelly English and 275 Food have partnered with Chef Edward Lee in Louisville to launch a six month mentorship in Memphis for high achieving women chefs. The initiative will operate under the banner of the 275 Food Fellowship Program.
275 Container Restaurant Initiative
In partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies, 275 Food is building a series of farm-to-fork container restaurants in neighborhoods where healthy food options are limited. Embedded in the concept is a workforce development program designed to place emerging chefs and food entrepreneurs of color in leadership positions, running their own kitchens.
